Infant Bonnet, Sioux c1880

This infant Sioux beaded Bonnet is constructed of hide, with open front and bottom, overlaid entirely, sides and top with beades, stitched in bright red, cobalt blue, sky blue, greasy orange and red over a white background, with a star emblem and cross center, alternating bar elements. Trimed with canvas. Width from front to back is 4" width across back is 2.5" width top to botom 5.5" Circa. 1880.

Infant Moccasins, Cheyenne, c1880

These infant Cheyenne beaded hide ceremonial moccasins are each decorated with triangular shapes, concentric design: trimmed with rows of greasy yellow & dark red beads at ankle. Tipi design at sides with dark red, grean and greasy yellow beads. geometric design at sides beaded with blue translucent beads. Length from toe to heal is 4.5" width is 2 1/4 or 1.63m Circa. 1880.
